What You are Thinking about Right Now?

Stop!

Think about what you were thinking about, right before you started reading this post and note it down.

Were you intentionally thinking about something specific? The chances are very slim, you were.

Most probably your thoughts were random, unfocused and sub-conscious, like a thousand billiard balls hitting each other in all directions.

Most of the time you are on auto-pilot as far as your thoughts are concerned. The balls are all over the place and like a frog, your attention jumps from one ball (thought) to the other without any conscious attention/purpose/goal.

The pattern repeats itself until something forces you to look at your thoughts consciously. Once you do that, a single thought emerges in your conscious brain and you actually LOOK at it.

Do you ever feel the difference between thinking about something specific consciously and sub-consciously?

Now I’ll come to the point of this post.

It is simply this. Consciously attending to a thought gives it power. The power of focus. Focused thoughts make you take action. Action changes lives.

It just like taking pictures. An unfocused picture will not elicit any strong reaction from you, would it?

Try to attend to whatever you are doing consciously, with full attention, with clarity and not only will you enjoy the doing part but you’ll also see that the result of your endeavor is more fruitful.

Wow, Sunny, we are totally in synch today!

Our thoughts are so immensely powerful – like the way you wrote powerfully about them.

Thanks for putting this out into the world.

  2. I really enjoyed this one! I’m always working hard to stay in the present and, as I realized when I was reading this post, I don’t spend as much time being conscious of my thoughts as I should.

  3. Hi Sunny,
Well, when I came by your site the first thing I thought is, “I hope Sunny is totally healthy.”
I am glad you are back in the game.
